Teal Turtles

Lauren Matthews
Hey there! My name is Lauren Dooley and I am the Lead Teacher for the Teal Turtles this year! This is my third year teaching this class. I am a 2017 graduate of The University of Georgia where I studied Special Education Birth through Kindergarten! GO DAWGS! During my time at UGA I obtained experience teaching a wide variety of students and truly fell in love with teaching Pre-K students with special needs. I grew up in Cartersville, Georgia and knew that I wanted to come back close to home after graduating college. Although I have been a Cartersville Hurricane my whole life,  I am so thankful for the opportunity to be teaching in Calhoun School System!! GO JACKETS! I am married to Teigh Dooley and we are thrilled to be expecting our first child, Brooks, in December 2019.  I will be using this website regularly to post important forms and information that you may need and keep parents updated on what is going on in the classroom! I look forward to this year as a Teal Turtle!
