Calhoun High School is proud to recognize senior Gracie Sexton as the first Nationally Registered Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)—a remarkable milestone for both Gracie and the second-year EMT healthcare pathway, led by instructor Phillip Parker.
In addition to earning her national EMT certification, Gracie also holds her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license—both earned through opportunities provided by the Calhoun College & Career Academy. She plans to continue her education by pursuing a nursing degree with the goal of becoming a Nurse Practitioner. Just weeks before graduation and already workforce-ready, Gracie has an interview scheduled for an ER Tech position—a powerful example of the real-world impact of the credentials offered through Calhoun’s Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) programs.
