Congratulations to the CMS girls golf team as they finished in 3rd place at their region tournament Monday at Cartersville CC (5 strokes behind Cass & 7 behind Cartersville). Not bad for two 6th graders and two 7th graders! Dali McGowan led the Lady Jackets with her 3rd place finish individually overall with her score of 56. She was followed by quality rounds of 58 by Baylor Plunkett and Raelyn Green. Grey Carpenter also competed and shot 61.
Congrats to our Jackets who also placed 3rd at their region tournament Tuesday at Fields Ferry GC. Bryce Roberts led the Jackets with a quality round of 40 which was 4th best score overall individually. Next was William Greene with a fine round of 42. Jagger Childress was next with a 49 and Sterling Pharr and Logan Gray tied for the last counting score of 51. Ace Martin also competed and was just behind with a 52.
