GAMS 2026 Math Gains

CALHOUN, GA — August 11, 2026 — Calhoun City Schools is celebrating continued growth in mathematics following the release of 2025–2026 Georgia Milestones results.

CCS students demonstrated strong achievement across the district, with math scores showing continued progress and students performing at or above state averages in multiple grade levels and courses.

“We are incredibly proud of the continued growth demonstrated by our students,” said Superintendent Dr. Michele Taylor. “These results reflect their hard work and the dedication of our teachers, staff, and families who support student success each day. We celebrate this progress while continuing to focus on growth and excellence for every Yellow Jacket.”

Math Momentum Continues

Highlights from the 2026 results include:

  • Districtwide, the percentage of students scoring Proficient & Above increased by 3%, while Developing & Above also increased by 3%.

  • CCS students met or outperformed the state average in 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 8th grade mathematics, as well as Algebra I.

  • Overall, CCS math performance increased from the previous year in six of the seven tested grade levels/courses.

Calhoun City Schools will continue to celebrate student achievement, monitor learning targets, and identify opportunities for continued growth and excellence.
