Callie Langley joins Calhoun Primary School as our music teacher. Her lifelong love of music inspired her to pursue education, and she hopes to help students discover that same excitement while building confidence along the way.

CHS alumna Rylie Parr (‘22) joins CPS as a 1st-grade teacher!
Inspired by her mother and the teachers who believed in her along the way, Rylie knew early that education was where she belonged. As a student, she was also part of the CHS CTAE Education Pathway, where her passion for education continued to grow.
For Rylie, being a Yellow Jacket means holding yourself to a higher standard, building meaningful relationships, and representing your community with pride. She’s excited to give her students the same encouragement and support she received along the way.

Calhoun City Schools Nutrition team will have 7-day meal boxes available for pickup this Friday from 12:00–3:00 PM in the back parking lot at Calhoun Elementary School.
✅ Drive-thru pickup
✅ First come, first served
✅ FREE for all children
As a reminder, our Summer Feeding Program will be closed June 29–July 3, making this a great opportunity for families to pick up meals for the week ahead.

Yesterday, our Jacket Jamboree campers helped kick off United Way of Gordon County's new summer program, United We Read, a literacy initiative that brings books, resources, and engaging learning experiences to families.
Campers enjoyed ice cream, story time, hands-on activities, a fire truck tour, and even selected a book to take home, along with other fun treats to keep the learning going all summer long.
Thank you to United Way and community partners for introducing this new program and supporting literacy throughout the summer!

Families may also participate in two 7-Day Meal Box Distributions at Calhoun Elementary School (rear parking lot) on June 26 and July 23 from 12:00–3:00 p.m. Distribution is drive-thru style and available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
