Dr. Brandi Hayes serves as the Director of College and Career Programs for Calhoun City Schools and has been with the system for ten years. She received her doctorate degree from the University of Georgia in 2010 in Workforce Education. Throughout her 22 year career in education, Dr. Hayes has served as a business education teacher, Work-Based Learning Coordinator, Dual Enrollment Coordinator, and Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) Director.

Dr. Hayes is a 2013 graduate of the Gordon County Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Calhoun/Gordon County Program and served on the Board of Directors for the Gordon County Chamber of Commerce. Her focus committees remain the Youth Leadership and the Education and Industry joint committee. She is also a 2017 graduate of Leadership Northwest Georgia and 2016 graduate of the Georgia Academy for Economic Development’s Regional Economic and Development Training. She works closely with businesses in her community to build partnerships between the school system and industry, in order to build quality programs that are aligned with economic and workforce needs, while also preparing students for college and career success.

Dr. Hayes was recognized as the Georgia Association of Career and Technical Educators (GACTE) Administrator of the Year in the summer of 2022. Previously she was awarded the Gordon County Chamber of Commerce Chairman’s Award in 2018 and was the 2014 Georgia Work-Based Learning Coordinator of the Year.

Outside of school, Dr. Hayes enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband Robert and her children Holcomb (13) and Hadley (10), who both attend Calhoun City Schools. She enjoys reading, watching sporting events, spending time at the lake, and doing home improvement projects.
