Dee Wrisley, Calhoun City Schools' Assistant Superintendent of Business and Finance was awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA). The Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) program was established by the GFOA to encourage governments to prepare annual comprehensive financial reports with full disclosure and transparency. The award is the highest form of recognition for governmental accounting and financial reporting.
Reports submitted to the ACFR program are reviewed by selected members of the GFOA professional staff and the GFOA Special Review Committee (SRC), which is comprised of individuals with expertise in public sector financial reporting and includes financial statement preparers, independent auditors, academics, and other finance professionals.
