On Thursday, the Calhoun Middle and High School campus was buzzing with creativity as students in grades 7–12 showcased an impressive range of innovative projects at this year’s CCS Technology Competition.
The day kicked off with a special shout-out to Morgan Cox, logo design winner, whose artwork appeared on both the celebration cake and this year’s competition t-shirts. A huge thank you to Mrs. Maggie Lyles and CHS print and design students for bringing those shirts, and the event awards, to life.
And a very special note of appreciation to Deidra Ross and Emily Stallings, Instructional Technology & Media Coaches, for organizing and overseeing the entire CCS Technology Competition across both days. This milestone year is extra special, as Deidra started the competition 20 years ago. Her leadership, alongside Emily’s, continues to shape a strong experience for students heading from district to RESA regionals and beyond.
