2026 STAR Student & Teacher - Isaac Tibbs & Kelli DeGuire

Calhoun, GA — Calhoun High School senior Isaac Tibbs has earned the distinction of 2026 PAGE STAR Student, as announced by Kendra Arnold, Senior Counselor at CHS.

Isaac, the son of Kristopher and Natalie Tibbs, earned this prestigious recognition for outstanding academic achievement and his SAT performance. As part of the honor, Isaac selected Mrs. Kelli DeGuire, English teacher at Calhoun High School, as his STAR Teacher.

The Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) program is sponsored and administered by the Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE) and the PAGE Foundation. Established in 1958, the STAR program has honored nearly 30,000 of Georgia’s highest-achieving students and the teachers who have inspired them. To qualify for the STAR nomination, graduating high school seniors must achieve the highest SAT score on a single test date and place in the top 10 percent or among the top 10 students in their graduating class based on grade point average.

Each year, STAR recognition begins at the high school level, where the STAR Student selects a STAR Teacher to share in the achievement. Students and teachers receive recognition from their schools and communities and may advance to system, region, and state-level honors. STAR Teachers continue alongside their students at each level of the program.

Through initiatives such as the PAGE STAR Program, PAGE Academic Bowl for Middle Grades, and the Georgia Academic Decathlon, PAGE and the PAGE Foundation continue to promote academic excellence and celebrate outstanding students and educators across Georgia.

Calhoun City Schools congratulates Isaac Tibbs and Mrs. Kelli DeGuire on this well-deserved honor and their outstanding achievement.
