Calhoun Middle School is proud to announce Vincent Hartel as the 2026-2027 Teacher of the Year.
Mr. Hartel is currently in his ninth year in education and teaches art at Calhoun Middle School, where he brings creativity, positivity, and passion to the classroom each day.
He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Reinhardt University, a background that supports his innovative and interdisciplinary approach to teaching and learning.
Vincent is married to his wife, Porshia, and together they have nine-month-old twins, Isla and Carter.
Colleagues describe Mr. Hartel as a positive leader, an innovative collaborator, and a dedicated advocate for students. He is known for building meaningful relationships with students while creating hands-on learning experiences that inspire creativity and engagement across content areas. His kindness, enthusiasm, and commitment to helping students reach their full potential make a lasting impact throughout the CMS community.

Calhoun Middle School is proud to announce Mrs. Robyn Greeson as the 2026-2027 Staff Member of the Year.
Mrs. Greeson serves as the administrative assistant at Calhoun Middle School and is often described as the “face of CMS.” This marks her third time being selected by her peers as Staff Member of the Year, having also received the honor in 2019-2020 and 2022-2023, a reflection of the tremendous impact she continues to make at the campus.
Colleagues describe Robyn as a positive, dependable, and essential member of the CMS family. She is known for going above and beyond to support students, staff, and families while handling each day with professionalism, kindness, and grace. Her welcoming spirit, strong work ethic, and dedication to helping others make a lasting difference throughout the CMS community.
