During American Education Week, we proudly honor the dedicated educators and support staff who inspire, guide, and empower the next generation!

Education is the foundation of our future, and ours is built on a Tradition of Excellence.

Before tonight’s game, we proudly recognized the 1995 State Champion Competition Cheerleading team, led by Coach Patti Gilmer. This group helped build the foundation of Calhoun’s Competition Cheer program—bringing home a State Championship just one year after a state runner-up finish. Today, Calhoun holds 7 state titles, the most of any sport at CHS. Thank you ladies for coming home to celebrate this milestone. Once a Jacket, always a Jacket! 🐝

Students from the Early Childhood Education and Teaching as a Profession pathways at Calhoun High School recently attended the Aspiring Educators of Tomorrow Conference hosted by Kennesaw State University. They had the opportunity to connect with future teachers from across Georgia, participate in inspiring sessions, and listen to powerful messages from education leaders.

CHS One Act Community Performances 🎭

Before our Region Champs take the stage at State, join us for a special community performance of Peter and the Starcatcher!

📅 When: Wednesday, Nov. 19 & Thursday, Nov. 20 @ 7PM
📍 Where: Calhoun Performing Arts Center

🏆 The 2025 GHSA State One Act Competition will be held Saturday, Nov. 22 at Cambridge High School, where CHS is scheduled to perform at approximately 10:00 AM.

Recently, Talent Connect seniors from Calhoun, Gordon Central, and Sonoraville High visited the Junior Achievement Discovery Center in Dalton to explore JA BizTown and Finance Park, gaining hands-on experience with budgeting, business operations, and financial decision-making.

This year’s Talent Connect cohort includes 30+ seniors across Calhoun and Gordon County Schools who are building employability skills and career insights for the future, preparing to become the next generation of community and workforce leaders.

Apply to College Day at CHS 🐝🎓 The Class of 2026 took an exciting step toward their future today, connecting with college representatives, military recruiters, and school counselors to explore post-graduation opportunities.

With guidance and encouragement from our CHS counseling team, these seniors are well on their way to pursuing their dreams and preparing for life after graduation.

Apply to College & Military Career Day is tomorrow, Thursday, Nov. 6, at Calhoun High School! Seniors will connect with college advisors, military recruiters, and school counselors to explore their next steps after graduation. 🎓🐝

💡 More than 40 Georgia colleges and universities are waiving application fees this month! Through GEORGIA MATCH on gafutures.org, students can view a personalized list of colleges they qualify for based on their HOPE GPA (through 11th grade).

Counselors will be available throughout the event to assist with applications, scholarships, and fee waivers. The future is waiting, Jackets!
