CHS Pottery students recently experienced their first-ever raku firing—an exciting and visually striking ceramic process. In this unique method, pottery is heated until it glows red-hot, then quickly cooled in a smoky environment to create bold textures, crackles, and color effects! This hands-on learning opportunity was a first for CHS, led by Ceramics Teacher Jonathan Elakman, who guided students through every step of the artistic and safety-focused process.
