CCS CCRPI Highlights 2025

The 2025 College and Career Ready Performance Index results highlight substantial academic gains across all schools.

CALHOUN, GA – Calhoun City Schools is proud to announce significant gains in the Georgia Department of Education’s 2025 College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI). The district posted strong progress scores, notable improvements in closing gaps, and districtwide growth across key academic areas and student groups. Early grades and Calhoun Middle School showed marked improvement, while Calhoun High School continued to demonstrate exceptional college and career readiness.

The CCRPI evaluates schools and districts across five core components: Content Mastery, Progress, Closing Gaps, Readiness, and Graduation Rate. This year’s results reflect CCS’s continued commitment to providing well-rounded, high-quality learning experiences for all students.

“We are incredibly proud of our students and staff for their hard work and dedication reflected in this year's CCRPI results,” said Dr. Michele Taylor, Superintendent of Calhoun City Schools. “These scores highlight our district's continued commitment to academic achievement, growth, and preparing our students to be lifelong learners in the pursuit of excellence.”

2025 CCRPI Highlights

Progress: District score increased from 80.3 to 86.4, outperforming the state average.

Closing Gaps: Scores increased across all schools—an important indicator of improvement for student groups. CCS is above the state average in closing gaps for both elementary and high school.

Content Mastery: The district saw overall gains from FY24 and is above the state average at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.

Readiness: CCS and each individual school exceeded the state average. “Beyond the Core” opportunities remain extremely strong districtwide, reaching at or near 100% across all schools.

Graduation Rate: Calhoun High School continues to outperform the state with a 97.7% graduation rate—10.5 points above the Georgia average.

“This year’s College and Career Ready Performance Index scores show strong improvements in our students’ academic achievement and their preparation for life,” said State School Superintendent Richard Woods. “They also point the way toward areas where we can continue to grow. I am proud of the teachers, leaders, families, and students whose hard work is reflected in these results. These are not just numbers—they represent impact for 1.7 million children across Georgia, and that’s what matters most.”

As CCS celebrates this forward momentum, the district remains focused on strengthening literacy outcomes and deepening student mastery at every grade level. With strategic initiatives already underway, Calhoun City Schools is committed to continued academic excellence and ensuring success for all learners.
