🌎 LEARNING BEYOND THE CLASSROOM!
CES fifth-grade students took science around the world with ClassVR! As they learn about Earth’s landforms and the processes that shape them, students virtually “visited” locations across the globe to identify and describe different landforms.
Next, they brought their learning to life by using Play-Doh to create their own landform models! We love seeing our Jackets explore, create, and experience learning in new ways! #BeThere to learn and create. #GoJackets

CHS alumna Rylie Parr (‘22) joins CPS as a 1st-grade teacher!
Inspired by her mother and the teachers who believed in her along the way, Rylie knew early that education was where she belonged. As a student, she was also part of the CHS CTAE Education Pathway, where her passion for education continued to grow.

A 2012 graduate of Calhoun High School, Corporal Kirby brings six years of law enforcement experience and is proud to serve the community that helped shape him. He and his wife, Coach Allie Kirby, a CHS teacher and Head Lady Jackets Softball Coach, are proud parents to 1-year-old Koen, who attends CELA's Junior Jacket Academy.
When asked what it means to return home, Alex shared:
"It means a lot to serve the community that gave me so much growing up. Coming back to Calhoun City Schools as an SRO is a full-circle moment."
As a proud member of Calhoun's 2011 State Championship football team, Alex says you'll probably hear about that accomplishment at least once. More importantly, he wants every student to know his door is always open if they need help, advice, or just someone to talk to.
