Congratulations to our 2025–2026 CES Spelling Bee Champion, Lydia Whitlock (6th), who secured first place in Round 16 with the word “pizzeria.” Bayler Plunkett (6th) earned second place after an impressive nine-round back-and-forth with Lydia.
To determine third place, Eliam Marroquin, Jaali Hayes, Alanah Brown, and Iyana Medina went head-to-head, with Eliam Marroquin (6th) taking the spot by spelling “laborious.”
These top three spellers will move on to the District Spelling Bee in January. Congratulations to all of our participants for their hard work and outstanding effort! #OurHeartOurFuture

Science in Action with Georgia Power💡⚙️⚡
To wrap up their science unit on Force and Motion, CES 4th graders enjoyed a hands-on visit from Mr. Camden Wallace with Georgia Power! Students explored how simple machines, such as levers, pulleys, and inclined planes, make work easier in everyday life and learned how Georgia Power uses these tools to deliver electricity safely and efficiently.
Students had the opportunity to participate in demonstrations and ask great questions about how energy and engineering work together.
Thank you, Mr. Wallace and Georgia Power, for sparking curiosity and inspiring our future problem solvers and engineers! 🐝 #OurHeartOurFuture #CTAEdelivers
