RED RIBBON WEEK 2024 | This year's Red Ribbon Week theme is "Life is a Movie. Film Drug-Free!" We are excited to celebrate our talented 2024 poster winners from the "Drugs Don't Work" Art Contest, who were recently honored at the Harris Arts Center.

A special shoutout to CHS winner, Erick Jaramillo, whose talent caught the attention of Mannington's HR Manager, Erika Turner. She shared some exciting summer internship opportunities that are perfect for Erick's future in art!

VETERANS DAY EARLY RELEASE REMINDER: On Monday, November 11, 2024, Calhoun City Schools will have an early release day to honor our veterans with a special Veterans Day Parade at 1:30 PM in downtown Calhoun. We invite everyone to join us as various student groups participate in this meaningful event to pay tribute to the brave men and women who have served our great nation.
Please note that the after-school KEEP program will be closed on this day. We appreciate your continued support and understanding.

Join us this Friday (9/27) for Youth Night at the Reeve as Calhoun Football takes on Adairsville in region play! All Calhoun Community Education football, cheer, and Twirl-O-Whirl summer campers, along with Calhoun Recreation Department and SWARM football players, cheerleaders, and majorettes, are invited to participate in the pre-game excitement. Youth will have the opportunity to run through the helmet and be recognized on Hal Lamb Field! #proudtobeayellowjacket
➡ Participants should meet behind the Jumbotron near the baseball field by 6:45 PM, with recognitions starting at 7:00 PM. Wear your best black and gold and come ready to cheer on the Jackets! Kids participating will receive free entry. Parents/guardians must purchase tickets. K-8 students must be accompanied by an adult (18+).
