SCHOOL CLOSED - WEDNESDAY, FEB. 19, 2025 | Due to the latest Winter Weather Advisory from Gordon County EMA, Calhoun City Schools will be CLOSED on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. Snow is expected early in the morning, with additional flurries possible in the afternoon and the potential for black ice Thursday morning.
The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. Based on this forecast, we believe it is best to keep everyone off the roads. All Calhoun City Schools will be closed on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.

Congratulations to Mandy Chen, Erick Jaramillo, and Stephanie Gallardo-Brito on being selected as semifinalists for the 2025 Governor's Honors Program (GHP)—a prestigious summer program recognizing Georgia’s most talented high school students.
These outstanding Jackets have excelled in their areas of study and will move on to the interview round in March, where they’ll compete for a spot in the four-week summer program at Georgia Southern University.

ThesCon 2025 was an incredible experience for 56 of our CHS performing arts students — including 4 All-State Theatre participants and 4 Superior Thespys! Our large group of talent was also selected for the closing number, and we couldn't be prouder!
