Calhoun Early Learning Academy had a special visitor to celebrate Georgia Pre-K Week! 📚🐝
We loved welcoming Senator Chuck Payne, who stopped by to read "Every Amazing Song" by Coy Bowles and Malcolm Mitchell to our Youngest Jackets. As part of this statewide initiative, every Pre-K student across GA received a copy of the book to take home.

The Voluntary Action Center’s Fired Up Food Drive is October 19–23! Last year, CCS collected more than 12,000 non-perishable food items, and this year, we’re going BIG with a districtwide goal of 20,000! 🥫🐝
The challenge is on! Students are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items throughout the week and help their class, grade level, and school lead the way! We'll share school-specific challenges, competitions, and incentives soon.
Every donation counts, and every item can help a neighbor. Let’s #BeThere and make a BIG impact for the community we call home!

💻 COLA Mid-Year Applications are now open!
Calhoun Online Learning Academy is accepting applications for the second semester of the 2026–2027 school year, beginning in January 2027.
Applications are due October 30, 2026, and applicants will be notified of the COLA Committee’s decision on December 15, 2026.
Students currently enrolled in COLA do not need to submit another application.
