TURN THE PAGE TO A BRIGHTER FUTURE | Calhoun Elementary celebrated 'Georgia Reads Day' with a full day of literacy fun and engaging activities! Classrooms welcomed mystery guest readers, and students joined a live virtual rally with Malcolm Mitchell, author and former UGA and New England Patriots wide receiver.
Each class received a copy of "My Favorite Book in the Whole Wide World," and students took home prizes of "The Magician’s Hat." Teachers proudly shared their favorites on the interactive "Book Jackets from the Yellow Jackets" display, making it a truly buzz-worthy day that sparked a love of reading for our Jackets! 🐝📚

It’s almost time for Friday Night Lights! 🐝🏈 Join us for Youth Night with Chick-fil-A at The Reeve as your Yellow Jackets take on Cambridge. Let’s pack the stands, Jacket fans!
Pre-Game Lineup:
• 6:30 PM – CPS/CES Chorus meet in the CPAC
• 6:30–6:45 PM – Youth Football, Cheer & Majorettes meet in the CMS gym
• 6:45 PM – Recognition of 2025 CHS Track & Field State Champions
• 7:00 PM – Youth Night recognitions on Hal Lamb Field
• 7:30 PM – Kickoff vs Cambridge
🎟️ Kids participating get in FREE! Parents must purchase tickets (GoFan or $10 cash at the gate). CHS students can buy $7 tickets at school today.
🚨 Reminder: All K–8 students must be accompanied by an adult. For safety, students may not gather behind the bleachers or in walkways and must remain in the stands during the game.
